Sewing Project: Fresh as a Daisy Quilted Pillow

Today I’m sharing a project that I made as a Christmas gift for my mom. This is my second quilting project and another design from Pen and Paper Patterns – the Fresh as a Daisy Quilt . I was never all that interested in quilting before but their designs are so adorable that I couldn’t resist trying another one out. It’s kind of fun to see the design come together piece by piece and also nice to do a project where you don’t have to worry about it fitting. I’m still learning when it comes to the actual quilting. The backing fabric got a little wonky but luckily it’s inside the pillow so you can’t see it.

I would have liked to do a throw sized quilt but I was a little pressed for time so the pillow was all I could manage. It’s a good practice project anyhow!

It’s hard to take pictures around here without getting photobombed by a cat!

The back is just a simple overlap closure.
