Introducing Mint Green Sewing Machine Novelty Skirts!

I’m so excited today to officially introduce a project I’ve been working on for the past year or so. I’ve designed a small line of vintage-inspired novelty print fabrics for making border-print skirts! Each design is available both as a finished skirt, sewn to your custom size, or as a sew-your-own kit, complete with step-by-step instructions.

The first design is based on my “Party Line” designs and features rotary phones and memo pads.

The next design is my reproduction of a 1940s butterfly border print, but with expanded color options:

Next, a transportation-theme design re-created from vintage contact paper. It features hot air ballons, trains, steamboats, and more! (Special thanks to Nikhol for providing the photos for me!)

Next, a celestial design with suns, moons, and stars in a mid-century modern style:

Next, a spring meadow scene with flowers, grass, and butterflies:

And lastly, I’m offering my Ornament Circle Skirt to purchase as a completed skirt, for those of you who don’t sew or would rather not do it yourself.

All of the designs are printed on 100% cotton sateen fabric and come to you pre-washed. The skirt kits include fabric for the skirt and waistband, a matching invisible zipper, and a vintage button for the waistband.

You can find the skirts for sale in the shop section of this website, or on Etsy.

Special thanks for my lovely friends Allison and Danielle for modeling the skirts for me and to Terri Lajda for taking these photos!
