So apparently I’m going to be really busy for at least the next week, and maybe even the next two months. I got the email last night that I was chosen to be one of the 10 contestants for Sew Mama Sew‘s Super Online Sewing Match. I’m super excited for this opportunity but also a teensy bit (ok, VERY) nervous for all that it entails!
I heard about the contest when I saw a post about it on the Colette Patterns Facebook page and thought: “that sounds fun and that new Janome machine would be awesome!” and I sent in an entry. I’m pretty shocked that I was actually chosen and I’m hoping it’s not too stressful to pull off since I work full time and will only be able to sew on evenings and weekends. But I think this is an opportunity that’s too good to pass up!
My first project will be a self-drafted A-line skirt using the online Craftsy class “Design and Sew and A-Line Skirt” with Deborah Moebes. I’ve been eying those classes for ages but I’ve never actually bought one, so I’m excited to try one out. I’m already brainstorming what kind of skirt I want to make and I’m hoping to start watching the video this evening. Wish me luck!
